Sun Country FunRichment, FunFest, and Sunny Day Camps are industry leaders in afterschool and day camp programming. We are a team of highly motivated individuals dedicated to providing the best afterschool care and day camp programming in Alachua and surrounding counties. We strive to maintain a safe, healthy, and active place for children during non-school hours while keeping up with the growing trends of our market. Field Trips are FREE for all Pre-Paid Monthly Tuition Customers only. All others must pay $14.00 per field trip. A Sun Country Field Trip T-Shirt ($10.63) must be worn on each Field Trip.

Millhopper Transportation: Sun Country West will offer a daily shuttle to our Millhopper location. The bus will leave the West Facility at approximately 6:00pm each day. Transportation sheets must be filled out in advance. This service is offered FREE of charge!
Payments not collected by the stated due date will be assessed a $15 Late Fee
• A late fee of $4.00 per child/per hour for children picked up after 6:30pm daily
• 10% Sibling Discount (weekly or monthly rates only)
All After School participants must be members of Sun Country ($60 annual family fee)

After School General Information:

1. Before we pick up your child at his/her school, you must contact the school office and let them know that Sun Country has permission to pick up your child(ren) after school.

2. Counselors will meet children at designated pick-up areas and wait with them until the Sun Country bus arrives. Routes are scheduled so that waiting time is minimal.

3. After-School hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
2:00pm - 6:30pm (late fees will apply after 6:30pm)

Wednesday
1:00pm - 6:30pm (late fees will apply after 6:30pm)

4. Please call in planned absences or changes in schedule by Friday of the week before. Please be considerate and let us know if you pick up your child from school because of illness or appointments.

5. Time will be allotted each day for snacks and homework. Children are given a snack, but can also purchase snacks from Sun Country. Please do not send large amounts of money with your child. Please alert us to any food allergies your child might have.

6. Children will be placed into groups according to age and gender. There will be no more than 10 children assigned to each counselor.

7. All children are signed in as they enter the building. They must be signed out when you pick them up each day. If someone else is picking up your child, his or her name must be included on this After-School Enrollment Form; they must also bring in an ID. If someone comes to pick up your child that is not on the list, you will be called.

8. Parents are expected to pick up their children by 6:30pm, unless other arrangements have been made (late fees will apply after 6:30pm). Please notify us if you are going to be late.

9. Field trips will be planned twice a month for a minimal cost. Customers paying by the monthly due date will receive field trips free of charge. Children must wear a Sun Country After School T-Shirt on all field trips. T-Shirts may be purchased for $10.63. Children who prefer not to participate will remain at the gym fully supervised. Special guests and educational programs will be added regularly.

10. Children attending the after-school program will participate in all of the activities the gym has to offer. Participants will not be “Junior Counselors” for our after-school program.

11. If your child has special medical needs or has a medical condition that may affect their behavior please include that information on this enrollment form. The director will handle the dispensing of medicine for your child as long as we have a written explanation of times and doses. Do not leave medicine at the front desk or with your child.

12. Please make sure your children are dressed comfortably, or bring loose fitting clothes appropriate for after-school activities; jeans are too restrictive. Tennis shoes are preferred, especially for rock climbing. Socks are necessary. We do not lend clothing.

13. We reserve the right to send your child home if we feel he/she is too sick to remain at Sun Country. Please be considerate and pick your child up in a timely manner.

14. Children who are unable to follow directions and/or causing disruptions in their group will be sent home. If you are notified that your child is having discipline problems, please pick him/her up in a timely manner. Remember if a counselor has to focus on a disruptive child, everyone else in the group suffers.
