
Class Descriptions
Sun Country Sports Center is proud to announce the beginnings of a new fitness program for children and adults. "Fit4U" will cater to children years 8 & up and adults. We have four new programs:
1.) Fit4U Weighting Room
2.) Adult Fitness
3.) Fit4U Fun Factor-Kid Fitness class
4.) Fit4U Kids Strength Training and Resistance Training Class
Our fitness room boasts 7 cardio machines (including an elliptical machine, recumbent bicycle, air bicycle, treadmill and stepper). A brand new Body Solid Gym rounds out the fitness for all of your strength training needs.
Fit4U Weighting Room
You will now be able to get fit while your child is in class at Sun Country. Our gym is open to parents waiting for their kids while in gymnastics class. After a 1/2 hour orientation, the gym is available for your daily use ANY TIME the building is open. With everyone being so busy these days it is important to make the use of your time wisely. Why not work out instead of just waiting? Your workout can consist of a simple one half-hour aerobic workout or a more involved strength training from thirty minutes to two hours. If you would like help designing a workout routine ask our certified personal trainer for help.
Fit4U Adult Fitness Class
Adults looking for motivation to get started and follow through on a new fitness program look no further. All levels and abilities welcome. Whether you are new to fitness or just need motivation come join us in a whole body workout. We will include warm up, stretching, heart healthy cardio work and resistance strength training on our Body Solid gym. The focus will be on technique and optimal benefits in this one-hour class.
Fit4U Fun Factor Class for Kids
Our goal is to bring fun fitness back with wacky games, cardio contest, relays and obstacle courses. We will learn to use the nautilus machines and much more. The emphasis will be on fun not on competitiveness. Each class will be designed upon interest and abilities of the participants. Anything goes. Get ready for some changed attitudes after this original and energizing class.
Fit4UKids Strength Training
Each class will start with a proper warm up on one of our six cardio machines followed by a group stretch. Six to eight weight and resistance training stations including our Body Solid Gym machines as well as some free weights will be set up for students to complete. Each student will be motivated and properly instructed in each lift. This class is in a group setting, but highly individual. After determining the weight limits for each student they will progress at their own level to allow benefits to each student.
